Dell Latitude D531 has processor of AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 (2.00 Ghz) with hard drive of Hitachi 120GB SATA HD 5400 RPM. It has a good memory of 2.0GB DDR2-667MHZ, 2 DIMMS (4GB Max). It is specialty of Dell that it never cut corners when it came to the screen size. The display is perfect 15.4″ WXGA+ “True Life” (250 nits). Latitude D531 has graphics of Integrated ATI x1270. Along with above-mentioned features several other required features are there like 9 cell battery with backup till 85 WHr, adaptor is built for 65W power supply. For Internet browsing, Dell wireless 1505 draft-N card is there and Optiarc 8x DVDRW AD-5540A optical drive is there. There are four USB 2.0 ports, one Fire wire, headphone is out whereas microphone is built in, s-video, modem, Ethernet, VGA, serial port and PCMCIA slot is given. The OS that it supports is Windows XP Pro SP2.

This model is having all the essentials that a good notebook must contain. As just its weight is little bit more, that disadvantage is compensated by its price value.
